About the Collective
A student-led club where art meets architecture, for high school students who like to draw, build and design.
Who we are
The UAF Architecture & Design Collective is a student-led club for high school students who are curious about architecture, art and spatial design. We meet every week to sketch, build and learn from each other.
What we do
- Study architecture from the ancient world to modern and postmodern design.
- Practice sketching, blueprints and floor plans, and build digital models in SketchUp.
- Work on a hands-on project every month and share it with the group.
- Visit real buildings and museums on field trips.
- Build a portfolio and a digital exhibition of our work by the end of the year.
Who can join
Anyone who enjoys art and wants to see how buildings are imagined, designed and built. If you are thinking about studying architecture, engineering or design, the portfolio you build here can help.
When we meet
- Tuesdays 3:30–4:30 pm
- Fridays 2:45–4:45 pm
